Double digit

We had a little party to celebrate Clea's 10th birthday. Clea planned her birthday party very seriously with games and activities to do, from treasure hunt in the mangrove

to soap carving (not sure when she found this idea).

She then went on a ride with her new bike.

This very busy day had to finish with our traditional chocolate cake!

Happy birthday Clea!

Where did February go?

The kids are fully back to school and all started their various activities. Victor has been doing LOTS of climbing and is even becoming temporary staff at his climbing gym. Clea started a month ago and seems to love it a lot too. Is it a result of their mast climbing and all their swinging? Felix started cricket (is it his South African blood calling?) and leaving at 6:30am for practice with his school bag, clarinet bag and cricket bag doesn't stop him. The weather has been really hot and the days very busy. So it was that time again when we all felt it was important to disconnect with the rush and reconnect with what's important. Our favorite dunes have that magic spell.

A good breeze pushed us back to the river, a big smile on our face and our batteries charged again with salt and sun.

Giving back

Just published!!! A new article is now available in South African Child magazine (February 2016 issue). This one allowed me to sponsor three Little Libraries. Enjoy the read (sorry, I don't have a pdf file wihout the adverts!)

I am so happy that my words could bring some books to those who don't have any.

(Thank you Camille from Little Libraries for the photo of this little boy discovering a book)
